Lesson 6 God’s Answer
Lesson 6: God’s Answer

Have You Ever Given Up on Experiencing God’s Complete Acceptance?
Have you ever given up on experiencing God’s complete acceptance of you? Have you ever felt that something in your past was so painful, so shameful, or so difficult to forgive that you wondered if God could ever truly accept you?
I remember sitting with a couple of my friends one day. We were sharing personal experiences, and one of my friends opened up about something she had carried in her heart for many years. She shared that she had an abortion and had never told anyone about it. This was the very first time she had spoken about it.
For years, she had carried this secret, along with the fear of rejection—not only from other people but even from God. Deep inside, she struggled with the thought that if people really knew what she had done, they might not love or accept her anymore.
And isn’t that what shame does? It convinces us to hide. It tells us that our past defines who we are and that somehow our mistakes are greater than God’s love and forgiveness.
But here is the beautiful truth: God already knows everything about us. He knows our past, our failures, our deepest hurts, and the things we have never told another person. Yet He still invites us to come to Him through Jesus Christ.
God’s Answer: Reconciliation Through Jesus Christ
Colossians 1:21–22 (KJV)
“Through once separated from God by sinful thoughts and actions, you have been reconciled through Christ’s death. Through Him, you stand before God Holy and Restored.”
Think about what this Scripture is telling us!
Before we came to Christ, we were separated from God because of sin. But through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, God made a way for us to be reconciled to Him.
And look at how God now sees us in Christ: holy, blameless, and beyond reproach in His sight.
My friend had spent years believing that her past made her unacceptable. But God’s Word tells us something different. Through Jesus Christ, forgiveness and reconciliation are available to us, no matter how long we have carried guilt or shame.
Sometimes we believe God has forgiven other people, but we struggle to believe He could forgive us.
We may know the Scriptures in our minds, yet still carry condemnation in our hearts.
The truth is that our feelings do not determine our standing before God. What Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross is the foundation of our acceptance.
Romans 8:1 (KJV)
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.”
Ephesians 1:6–7 (KJV)
“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”
We don’t have to spend our lives hiding from God or trying to earn His acceptance. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we can receive His forgiveness, experience His grace, and begin walking in the freedom of knowing that we are loved and accepted in Him.

Your past does not have to determine your future.
Jesus Christ has made a way for you to be reconciled to God.
Reflection Questions
Have you ever felt that something in your past made you unworthy of God’s love and acceptance?
Are you carrying guilt or shame over something you believe God could never forgive?
According to Colossians 1:21–22, what has Jesus Christ accomplished for us through His death?
What does it mean to you personally that God can present you holy, blameless, and beyond reproach in His sight?
How would your life change if you truly believed that your acceptance in Christ is based on His finished work rather than your past mistakes?
Closing Thought
God’s answer to our fear of rejection is not that we must become perfect through our own efforts. God’s answer is Jesus Christ.
Through His sacrifice, we can be forgiven, reconciled, and fully accepted by our Heavenly Father.
We no longer have to allow shame, guilt, or the opinions of others to define our worth. Our identity is found in Jesus Christ.
Closing Message: God’s Love and the Gift of Salvation
My prayer is that through this lesson, you will begin to understand just how deeply God loves you. He loved you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in your place, taking upon Himself the punishment for our sins so that we could be forgiven, reconciled to God, and receive the gift of eternal life.
When we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, our spiritual eyes begin to open to the truth of God’s Word. We begin to see ourselves differently—not through our past mistakes, our failures, or the opinions of others, but through the love, forgiveness, and acceptance of our Heavenly Father.
As we grow in our relationship with Jesus, we can begin to see more clearly the things of the Kingdom of God. And remember, we don’t have to walk this journey alone. God has given us the Holy Spirit to be our Helper, Comforter, Counselor, and Guide into all truth.
Every day, ask the Holy Spirit to open your spiritual eyes, renew your mind, strengthen your faith, and help you walk in the freedom that Jesus Christ has already made available to you.
An Invitation to Receive Jesus Christ
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I want to invite you to open your heart to Him today. You don’t have to have everything figured out. Come to Him with a sincere heart, believing that He died for your sins and rose again.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear Lord Jesus,
I come before You today with an open heart. I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died on the cross for my sins, and that You rose again.
Lord Jesus, I receive You into my heart and my life as my Lord and Savior.
Please forgive me for all my sins, my past mistakes, and the things I have done that were not pleasing to You.
I repent of my sins and ask You to help me turn away from evil and walk in Your righteousness and truth.
Wash me clean through Your precious blood. Cover me with Your love and protection, and help me live a life that honors You.
Open my spiritual eyes so that I may see Your truth and understand the things of Your Kingdom.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Guide me each day, renew my mind, strengthen my faith, and teach me to walk in Your ways.
Thank You, Jesus, for loving me, forgiving me, and giving me the gift of salvation and eternal life.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Scripture: John 6:37 (KJV)
“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”
Final Encouragement
Remember, accepting Jesus Christ is the beginning of a beautiful new relationship with your Heavenly Father. You are not alone. Continue seeking Him through prayer, reading His Word, and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you each day.
God’s answer to our fear of rejection is Jesus Christ. Through Him, we are forgiven, reconciled, and accepted by God.
You are deeply loved. You are not defined by your past. And through Jesus Christ, you can begin walking in the freedom and new life He has given you.
