PRECIOUS OCICATS ON ISLAND ESTATES This domestic breed has absolutely no cross to wild cats, but has the spots and dense muscular body which was selectively bred to emulate cats of the wild. Although they lurk and resemble a cat from the wild, the are anything but ferocious. We have brothers named: 1) RALPH LAUREN - colored Classic Brown and 2) CALVIN KLIEN - colored Chocolate Spotted, born April 1, 2015 in Pennsylvania. Their sister, COCO CHANNEL is back in NJ. Since they are designer cats, we chose designer names. My love for this breed started years ago when my mother would take me to shows and competitions. The Ocicats were well behaved and seemed to always win. I would always say “OH” LOOK SPOTS!! IS IT TAME? What kind of cat is this??? It must be something special.” INDEED they are! This magnificent spotted cat never fails to steal the show. Not only do these beautiful cats steal a show, but they entertain us at home constantly. Most guests first comments are how active and friendly they are. It is often stated in literature that the ocicats character is very “dog like”. We often get greeted at the door, followed throughout the house or nudged while on the couch for a petting or to play. Ralph and Calvin love routine. So when we go away for couple of days, we are well aware that they have missed us. Ralphs favorite thing is to ring the chime in our bedroom between 3-4 in the morning, the first night back, to let everyone know that he was upset. Here on Island Estates, The cats have regular visitors that come and play laser light with them, which is one of their favorite toys. The cats have even attracted the attention of our Island Estates local artist (KIM). She is a wonderful local artist who loves to draw animals. Here is one of the pencil drawing we had made into Christmas Cards. I GUESS THEY ARE FAMOUS CATS NOW>
