Understanding Water Baptism: Key Questions on How, When, and Why

God’s way of salvation is still the same: first, believe, then be baptized. believing in Christ produces an inward change in our life’s and hearts.

Being Baptized Is act, we make ourselves one with Christ in his burial and in his resurrection. We are diped in the water to new life, then we are separated from the old life of sin. We come out of the water a new life of righteousness and Victory, made possible by God’s power in Us.

Mark 16 :16 “ He that Believeth and is baptized shall be saved.” KJB

The Holy Spirit was Pleased with the Baptism of Jesus?? How did God show that he was pleased. (Matthew 3:16) says, And Jesus was Baptized, immediately he went up from the water.

At that Moment heaven was opened, and he saw The Spirit of God descending like A dove and alighting on him”

In Matt 3:17

What did God say about Jesus when he was baptized?

“This is my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”

Why do you think that Jesus was baptised.

John the baptizer, baptism was only for a Baptism of repentance.

Jesus Had no sins to confess. Rather, by being baptized in this way, Jesus set a pattern for all who would afterwards follow him in Obedience to the will of God.

In Matt 3:15 Jesus gave a reason why he was baptized.

“Thus it becometh to us to fulfill all righteousness.

(Thus) is that statement means = The manner of Baptism which is an act of going down in the water and coming out of the water and the old life. Clean by the Blood of Jesus.

To fulfill all righteousness means to complete all rightousness. The first thing is that a Christian is made righteous through his faith in Christ, then in being Baptized, we complete this inward righteousness of faith by the outward act of obedience.

Before being Baptized, a person should meet these conditions:

Be taught the meaning of the act, repent of our sins, Believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

Acts 2:38

What did Peter the apostle tell the people to do before being Baptized?

Peter said, “ Change your life.Turn to God and Be Baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, so your sins are forgiven. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is targeted to you and your family. - whoever in fact, our Master God invites.” (CSB)

Our Amazing God told his disciples that The ordinance of Baptism was for,

“ALL THE NATIONS”

There were no exceptions.

The New Testament records show that the new converts were always baptized without delay.

Acts 8:39, Acts 8:37, Acts 8:12

What happened when the Philippine Jailer and his family believed after hearing Paul’s Message.?

They said “ We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God” and they were baptized.

Then what is the act of baptism. By Baptism Christian’s publicly identify themselves with Christ in his Burial and resurrection. After baptism, we are required by the Word to lead a new life of righteousness. Of Course, this is only made possible by the Grace AND POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.!!!
